Artist Statement

I am a visual artist working across painting, drawing, and ceramics. My work is inspired by storytelling, Black American and Indigenous traditions, and the beauty of everyday life. I am especially interested in portraying the people I am closest to and capturing moments of connection, care, and belonging.

Through the use of bold colors and vibrant imagery, I create artwork that feels warm, welcoming, and accessible. I draw inspiration from artists such as Elizabeth Catlett, Marva Lee Pitchford-Jolly, Danielle McKinney, and Jennifer Prince, whose work reflects the power of narrative, community, and representation.
